Ingredients

  • Baguette or Italian bread, sliced
  • 2 large tomatoes, diced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1-2 tablespoons TRUFFLE OIL (WHITE or BLACK according to preference)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Bread:

  • Place the bread slices on a baking sheet and toast them in the preheated oven until they are golden and crisp. This usually takes about 5-7 minutes. You can also toast the bread on a grill or in a toaster.

Make the Tomato Basil Mixture:

  • In a bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped fresh basil, minced garlic, extra virgin olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Toss the mixture gently to combine.

Add Truffle Oil:

  • Drizzle truffle oil over the tomato and basil mixture. Start with a smaller amount and adjust to your liking, as truffle oil has a potent flavour.

Mix Well:

  • Gently mix the truffle oil into the tomato and basil mixture until evenly distributed.

Assemble the Bruschetta:

  • Once the bread slices are toasted, spoon the tomato and basil mixture onto each slice.

Optional Garnish:

  • If desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the bruschetta for an extra layer of flavour.

Serve Immediately:

  • Serve the truffle bruschetta immediately as an appetizer or snack.
